Color wheel in February

The country man, who dedicates his life to the hard work of cutting sugarcane, his feelings overflow with culture and take to the streets of small towns in northeast Brazil, once a year.

These marked faces and bodies, wrapped in color and magic, compose this visual work, revealing a very authentic carnival that goes beyond the glamorous commercial parties.

In "Color Wheel in February", I want to expose a secular event known as "Maracatu Rural" or "Maracatu do baque solto", which exists  in the sugar cane areas of the interior of the state of Pernambuco.

A Carnival  of mysterious figures, suggesting the mix of  local culture and traditions.
